Update #4: March 10, 2015

Posted by Bill Schelly on March 10, 2015

FYI, I’m scheduled (so far) to make three appearances in Seattle to promote Harvey Kurtzman, The Man Who Created Mad. The first is a panel at the Emerald City Comicon, on Saturday March 28 at 4:30 pm. (Room: Hall B, WSCC 602-603). I’ll be doing a slide show and then discussing the book. The panel will be moderated by Gary Groth.

The second appearance will be a signing at Fantagraphics Bookstore and Gallery in Georgetown on Saturday April 11. (I’m not sure of the time; probably in the evening around 7:00 pm. Check with the store for exact information: 206-658-0110.)

The third will be a presentation (slide show) and book signing at the University of Washington Bookstore in the U-District on Thursday, May 7, at 7:00 pm. You can pre-order the book on their web site, by going into their Events calendar and clicking on the book cover. That way they’ll be sure to have a copy for you (but there ought to be an ample number of copies available for purchase).

I’d like to meet as many of you as possible, so please come! Let’s celebrate the career of the incredible Harvey Kurtzman!

Coming soon: I was interviewed by Jon B. Cooke for his Comic Book Creator #8, which will be out in May. Also, Jason Sacks interviewed me for his web site www.comicsbulletin.com. That should be up in the first week of May.

More announcements soon!
